Whale watching and puffin boat tours
About our boat tours
The prime whale watching season in Newfoundland runs from late May to early September. This is when our coastline comes alive with humpback whales, minke whales, orcas, and more. On our 1-hour boat tour departing from Bauline South, you’ll get up close with these giants of the sea, as well as the hundreds of thousands of seabirds that call the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve home, including North America’s largest colony of Atlantic Puffins.
Get your camera ready! You might catch a whale breaching, tail slapping, or even spy-hopping during your adventure.
What to Wear: Newfoundland weather changes fast. Dress in warm layers, bring a waterproof jacket, and wear comfortable shoes.

Want More Adventure?
For those looking to extend the experience, we now offer the “Bridge Bonus Tour”. For a small additional fee, extend your trip by 30 minutes and cruise further south to the stunning La Manche Suspension Bridge, one of the region’s hidden gems.
It’s the perfect bonus adventure—ideal for photography lovers and anyone who wants to see more of Newfoundland’s rugged coastline.
