Whale watching and puffin boat tours
About our boat tours
The best time to go whale watching in Newfoundland is from late May to early September, when the waters are teeming with various species, such as humpback whales, minke whales, and orcas. During our whale watching boat tour near Witless Bay, you will certainly have a memorable adventure, so don’t forget your camera! You’ll be able to capture breathtaking shots of whales breaching, tail slapping, or even spy-hopping.
Our tours are 1 hour long, and take you along the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, which is home to hundreds of thousands of seabirds, including the atlantic puffin. The reserve contains North America’s largest Atlantic Puffin colony. Half of North America’s Atlantic Puffins breed in Witless Bay!
Before you sail, remember It’s always best to dress in layers when going on a boat tour in Newfoundland! Our weather can be unpredictable, so wear warm clothing, a waterproof jacket and definitely comfortable shoes!
